TEMPLATES

Configuration Manager allows you to manage the use of templates. You

can:

◆ Create a Category

◆ Add a New Template

◆ Generate and Deploy a Template

CREATE A CATEGORY You can group templates into different categories for easy management.

Example: You can create a category called Management and then create a

template called Management Configuration under it.

To create a category for templates, perform the following steps:

1. From the Configuration File Navigator panel, right-click and select “Add

Template Category.” You will see the New Category dialog box.

2. Under the Select parent folder section, select “Templates.”

3. Enter a name in the “Category Name” field and click Finish.

ADD A NEW TEMPLATE You can create a new template and add it to the ECView Pro Configuration

Manager and then generate and deploy specific commands using the

templates, to devices you have added to ECView Pro Configuration

Manager.

To create a template, perform the following steps:

1. From the Configuration File Navigator panel, select “Templates,” right

click and select “Add Template.”

You will see the New Template dialog box.

2. In the “Select parent folder” section, select the category under which

you would like the template to be created.

3. Enter an appropriate name in the “Template name” field.

4. Click Finish. You will see the template created in the Configuration File

Navigator panel on the left side.
